2010 Junior National Team Summer Camps
It is that time of year again...camp time! Do you have a rower, or two or three,
that are: (all criteria are negotiable)
* Five foot seven inches tall or taller.
* rowing their 2000 erg piece in under 8:00.0.
* born in 1994 or 1995 or even 1996.
* interested in an intensive 10 day sculling program (We will row 2 or 3 times a
day & everyone will row in 1Xs, 2Xs, & 4Xs).
I am starting to put together the roster for the USRowing sponsored Junior B
sculling camp to be held at Sandy Run Regional Park from 19 to 28 June 2009 and
I would really like to have mostly local rowers. When you contact me I will
provide the link to the registration site to rowers you recommend and meet the
stated criteria.
If you have a rower that is interested please have them provide me the following
information: first and last name of the rower, height, weight, birth date, best
2K erg time, and the best e-mail address with which to reach them.
If you, the rowers, or the parents have any questions please visit the web site
(http://www.usrowingjrs.org/wjrbva.html), stop me at the river, or drop me an
e-mail at CJSB@verizon.net. -Coach Bill

Occoquan Juniors Rowing Center will be holding its annual summer
rowing programs again this year and we’d love to have your kids join us for one
of our four week camps. These camps are open to all area high school students
and are designed for kids with previous rowing experience. We row out of the
Sandy Run boathouse. For more information on the 2010 dates, times and prices,
check out our website at
http://www.occoquanjuniors.com. We are also holding a series of two-week
Learn to Row camps throughout the summer. This is a great way for your potential
novice rowers to get a head start. Each two week camp is $150. All the details
can be found on our website.
Thanks
